Macquariedale Organic Wines is renowned for its dedication to producing natural, biodynamic, low-preservative, and vegan-friendly wines. Established as the first vineyard in the Hunter Valley to achieve full Biodynamic/Organic Certification in 2005, the winery has always focused on sustainable and natural winemaking practices. This commitment allows their wines to reflect the true character of the terroir with depth and authenticity.
In 2020, Macquariedale relocated to Orange, NSW, and now operates at one of the highest vineyard sites in Australia, situated 1,100m above sea level. Their new location continues to uphold their ethos of organic and biodynamic viticulture.
The cellar door at Macquariedale Organic Wines, located in the scenic Towac Valley, offers a welcoming space for visitors to explore their range of wines. Guests can enjoy guided tastings of current releases, led by a knowledgeable team member. For a more indulgent visit, the wine tasting can be paired with a grazing platter featuring local and organic produce.
Macquariedale also provides opportunities for a more immersive experience, including picnic hampers filled with organic and artisan treats, accompanied by a bottle of wine. Guests can relax on the vineyard slopes or explore the property with the Wander & Graze package, which features a guided walk and private picnic setup. These options allow visitors to enjoy the vineyard’s serene setting and exceptional wines at their own pace.
