Cherry Tree Hill Wines, located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, has been owned and operated by the Lorentz family for over 30 years. Grapevine production began in 2003, drawing on the family’s Hungarian winemaking heritage and blending traditional techniques with their Australian venture. Initially focused on Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling, the vineyard has since expanded to include Pinot Noir and traditional method sparkling wines, reflecting their ongoing commitment to innovation and quality.
Cherry Tree Hill’s approach to winemaking emphasises the unique qualities of the Southern Highlands’ cool-climate terroir, resulting in a diverse portfolio that highlights the distinct flavors of the region.
The Cellar Door at Cherry Tree Hill, located on the Hume Highway in Sutton Forest, is open seven days a week and offers visitors a welcoming space to explore the estate’s wines. Light meals and snacks, including local tasting boards and gourmet pies, are available, making the venue a place to enjoy regional produce alongside wine tastings. The estate’s award-winning portfolio features Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, and Cabernet Merlot, showcasing the variety and quality of their cool-climate wines.
