Sutton Forest Estate Wines, a second-generation family-owned winery in the Southern Highlands, is deeply rooted in its Italian heritage. Owned by the Lo Russo family for over 26 years, the winery combines traditional Italian grape-growing techniques with the rich soil and cool climate of the region. This unique blend results in premium quality wines that are distinct to the Southern Highlands. The winery's name itself is a tribute to the historic Sutton Forest Village, reflecting a connection to the early Australian settlement in the 1820s.
Founded in 2002 by Nick and Santina Lo Russo, in collaboration with local viticulturist Darren Corradi, Sutton Forest Estate Wines focuses on producing intensely flavored wines that are true to their variety. The vineyard emphasises hand-pruned and hand-picked grapes, ensuring a high-quality wine production process. This meticulous approach to viticulture is a testament to the winery's commitment to creating exceptional wines in the Southern Highlands.
The Cellar Door at Sutton Forest Estate Wines offers a glimpse into the world of premium Italian-style wines. Open Friday through Sunday, it welcomes visitors to discover its internationally acclaimed boutique wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Chianti-style classics.
