Southern Highlands Winery, owned and operated by the Rossi and Corradi families, brings Italian heritage to the Southern Highlands' wine scene. The winery is set on an 83-acre estate in Sutton Forest, with about 30 acres under vine. Chief Winemaker Eddy Rossi, with his extensive experience, including at McWilliams and Rossetto wines, leads the winemaking team. Darren, previously of Merlot Vineyards in Griffith, manages the vineyard, ensuring the quality of the grapes. This collaboration has resulted in a range of wines that capture the essence of the cool climate viticulture of the region.
The winery's focus on combining high-quality wines with authentic Italian cuisine adds a unique dimension to the Southern Highlands wine experience. The restaurant at the winery, led by Chef Marco, offers a menu that pairs perfectly with their wines, enhancing the overall experience.
