St Maur Southern Highlands Estate, established in 1998 by Nerio Panizzutti and his son Marco, is a reflection of Italian winemaking heritage in the Southern Highlands. This boutique winery, spread over 16 acres of volcanic soil, specializes in small-batch production of Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, and Chardonnay. Nerio's experience as a tailor and a farmer melds into a unique approach to viticulture, emphasizing quality and sustainability. The vineyard, initially a dairy farm, now produces regionally distinct wines, admired and featured in top Sydney restaurants, underscoring their commitment to excellence.
The vineyard's location, 700 meters above sea level, provides ideal conditions for cultivating quality grapes. St Maur's vine management practices, such as heavy pruning, are tailored to enhance the intensity and flavor of each grape, further distinguishing their wines. The estate's rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a renowned vineyard, adds to its charm, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's agricultural past blended with contemporary winemaking.
At St Maur's Cellar Door, guests are welcomed into an environment that has earned the Best Tasting Experience in the Southern Highlands by Gourmet Traveller WINE 2022. Set against the backdrop of a vintage dairy farm, the Cellar Door provides a rustic yet sophisticated setting for wine tasting. The experience is enriched with personalised services, where visitors can enjoy a range of classic vinifera grapes, including the winery's premium LOT 41 collection and the Saint Series. The presence of the estate dog, Siena, adds a homely and inviting touch to the overall experience.

St Maur's Cellar Door opens its doors to wine enthusiasts on the third weekend of each month, from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. To ensure a bespoke and engaging experience, guests are encouraged to book in advance, particularly for groups of six or more.
