Wine Tasting at Ballinaclash

Ballinaclash, a charming family-run orchard, vineyard, and cellar door, is situated near Young in the Hilltops cool-climate region of New South Wales. Established in 1965 as a cherry and stone fruit orchard by Peter's parents, Michael and Bernie Mullany, the property has been expertly managed by Peter and Cath Mullany and their six children. Embracing diversification, they planted their first vines in 1997, recognizing the ideal conditions for growing cool-climate grapes. Today, Ballinaclash focuses on producing single vineyard wines exclusively from their fruit, including a range of award-winning Hilltops wines, and continues to grow cherries and stone fruits for their popular pick-your-own customers.

Peter and Cath have expanded Ballinaclash to include a Cellar Door and a shed shop, showcasing their award-winning Hilltops wines and a range of homemade products such as jams, sauces, and cherry pies, all made from their own fruit. Visitors can also participate in Cherry Pie-Making classes during the cherry season. Ballinaclash epitomizes genuine country hospitality and offers a unique experience where visitors can enjoy fresh air, taste local produce, and meet the farmers behind the products, making it more than just a business but a passionate way of life.
