Ballinaclash, a family-run orchard, vineyard, and cellar door, is located near Young in the Hilltops cool-climate region of New South Wales. Originally established in 1965 as a cherry and stone fruit orchard by Michael and Bernie Mullany, the property is now managed by Peter and Cath Mullany along with their six children. In 1997, the family planted their first vines, recognizing the region's ideal conditions for cool-climate viticulture. Today, Ballinaclash produces single vineyard wines exclusively from their estate-grown fruit, alongside continuing their tradition of growing cherries and stone fruits, which attract pick-your-own visitors each season.
The Cellar Door at Ballinaclash showcases their award-winning Hilltops wines, alongside a range of homemade products, including jams, sauces, and cherry pies, all made from their own fruit. Visitors can also participate in Cherry Pie-Making classes during cherry season. Ballinaclash offers an authentic country experience, where guests can enjoy fresh air, taste locally crafted produce, and meet the farmers who bring these products to life.
