Welcome to Wallington Wines, a family-owned and operated boutique winery situated just 10 minutes from the historic town of Canowindra. At Wallington, the focus is on creating wines that are not only certified Organic and Biodynamic but also uniquely expressive of their site. The winery, deeply committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, converted to Organic and Biodynamic methods in 2006. These practices enable Wallington to produce elegant, medium-bodied wines that truly embody the characteristics of their sandy clay loam soils and the specific terroir of their vineyard.
The vineyard, established by Margaret and Anthony Wallington in 1992, is nestled in the beautiful Cowra wine region and boasts an array of grape varieties, including Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, and Viognier. With vines running north to south on a southerly aspect at an elevation of 400 meters above sea level, Wallington Wines is dedicated to improving the land for future generations and creating a lasting legacy.
Visitors to Wallington Wines can expect an intimate and personal experience at their beautiful straw-bale winery, open by appointment seven days a week. Here, guests can taste a range of handcrafted Organic and Biodynamic wines while enjoying views of the vineyard. The winery also offers the option to book a tasting along with a grazing platter, providing an opportunity to savor their wines in a relaxed and scenic setting. This experience allows visitors to not only taste the wines but also to appreciate the unique environmental practices that go into making them.
