Rosnay Organic, founded by Richard and Florence Statham and their family in 1997, is a certified organic winery located in Cowra wine region. The family has cultivated organic vineyards, olive groves, and fig orchards without the use of harmful chemicals, reflecting a commitment to sustainable farming. Named after Florence’s French grandfather, Alberic Dulong de Rosnay, the farm combines organic wine production with the cultivation of olives and figs, offering visitors a diverse range of organic produce.
Rosnay’s wines are made on-site using natural methods, including regenerative and biodynamic farming practices. Since its establishment, the vineyard has been organic, and in 2022, all wines were fermented with wild yeast and bottled without fining agents or filtration. This approach emphasises minimal intervention, allowing the wines to reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyard’s terroir.
The Cellar Door at Rosnay Organic offers visitors a chance to taste their natural wines alongside an art gallery and farm shop. Visitors to the cellar door, open Friday through Sunday, can explore the wines, browse local artwork, and enjoy the farm's offerings. During the season, guests can pick their own olives and figs, adding an interactive element to their visit. The combination of organic produce, natural wines, and the scenic setting makes Rosnay Organic an engaging destination for those interested in sustainable practices and regional specialties.
