Paracombe Wines is a family-owned winery in the Adelaide Hills, producing wines that reflect the unique character of its high-altitude terroir. Established in the aftermath of the 1983 Ash Wednesday bushfires, the winery has grown from humble beginnings into a respected producer known for its sustainable vineyard practices and minimal intervention winemaking.
Located on an ancient plateau with some of the oldest soils in the region, Paracombe specialises in a diverse range of varieties, from classic cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to emerging styles such as Grüner Veltliner, Vermentino, and their signature Reuben blend. Their approach focuses on preserving the purity of the fruit, crafting wines that balance vibrancy, structure, and finesse.
Paracombe Wines offers a personalised tasting experience at their beautifully appointed cellar door, available by appointment only. Situated within the estate vineyard, the setting provides panoramic views of rolling hills and surrounding vineyards, offering a tranquil and intimate atmosphere for guests.
Tastings include a guided selection of their estate-grown wines, accompanied by insights into the family’s winemaking journey and philosophy. Guests can also explore a curated collection of local artisan crafts, including artwork and handmade jewellery, further enhancing the experience.
