Pike & Joyce, a union of two South Australian families, embodies the synthesis of traditional winemaking techniques and modern innovation to produce wines that truly reflect the Adelaide Hills region's unique terroir. Situated in the steep, North and East facing slopes of Lenswood, the vineyard has transitioned from apple and pear orchards to a 25-hectare site ideal for cultivating classic cool climate varieties. The meticulously hand-pruned and hand-picked vineyards yield an array of varietals including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Nebbiolo, among others. This careful vineyard management, coupled with the cool room chilling process before vinification at Pikes Clare Valley winery, ensures each wine showcases the vibrant, fresh, and textural qualities characteristic of the Lenswood terroir.
The collaboration between the Pike family, with its deep winemaking heritage, and the Joyce family, fifth-generation horticulturists, is a testament to their shared passion for producing premium wines.
