Mercer Wines, established by Aaron and Alison Mercer, specializes in sustainable, vegan-friendly varietals sourced from across New South Wales. Aaron, a Hunter Valley native with over 20 years of winemaking experience, is recognised for his expertise in organic and preservative-free wines. His approach combines traditional techniques with innovative practices, resulting in a diverse portfolio that reflects the character of each varietal and its region of origin. Mercer Wines offers unique selections like Montepulciano and Barbera, alongside classic Hunter Valley expressions such as Chardonnay and Shiraz.
The newly opened Mercer Wines Cellar Door on Hermitage Road offers a relaxed setting to explore these distinctive wines. Guests can enjoy tastings in a beautiful outdoor space or cozy indoor seating.
The cellar door features a range of experiences, including a tasting of six wines paired with local accompaniments, and a Limited Release tasting with local Binnorie cheese. Each session is designed to showcase the unique qualities of Mercer’s wines, providing both an educational and enjoyable experience.
