Toorak Winery, nestled in the heart of the Riverina in the town of Leeton, is a notable presence in the Australian wine industry with over 50 years of experience in crafting quality wines. The winery is known for its diverse wine labels including Toorak Road, Willandra Estate, Leeton Selection, and Amesbury Estate Wines. The warm summer climate of the region contributes to wines with rich, ripe aromas and intense varietal fruit characteristics, evident in their white and red wine productions. The white wines, such as Semillon and Traminer, are harvested in the cool evening to maintain freshness and clarity, while the red wines undergo fermentation on skins to extract color and enhance body and mouthfeel, followed by maturation in oak.
Toorak's Willandra Premium range showcases the winemaker's selection of premium grapes from the best regions in Australia, sought after by wine enthusiasts globally for its consistent quality and excellence. The Willandra Leeton Selection, made from grapes grown around Leeton, reflects the regional varietal characteristics and benefits from the area's warm, dry climate. The Leeton Selection wines are produced from Riverflats, their newest vineyard acquisition, equipped with the latest vineyard technology for premium winegrowing. Additionally, Toorak's Cellar Door offers exclusive labels, export wines, and special releases, including the popular Toorak - Frank Senior fine old tawny, and the Amesbury Estate range, known for its affordability and distinctive varietal characters.
Visiting the Cellar Door at Toorak Winery is an experience that offers more than just wine tasting. Guests have the opportunity to engage with the team, ask questions about the winery's offerings, and even address other enquiries as the office is located at the Cellar Door. While tasting is free, the wines are also available for purchase, allowing guests to take home a piece of the Riverina. The Cellar Door operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on weekends, they welcome visitors for sales and tours by appointment only.
