Rusden Wines is a family-owned vineyard and winery in the Barossa Valley, with a history spanning seven generations of grape growing. The estate is located in Vine Vale, a region known for its deep white sand over red clay soils, producing wines with balance and structure. The winery follows a hands-on approach, tending the vineyard by hand and adhering to traditional winemaking methods to craft wines that honestly reflect vintage and site.
Focusing on classic Barossa varieties such as Shiraz, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Rusden also produces a selection of unique wines, including Chenin Blanc and Malbec. The entire process, from growing to winemaking and bottling, is carried out on-site, ensuring a true connection between the vineyard and the finished wine. With a philosophy centred on tradition and innovation, Rusden continues to produce wines that showcase the distinct character of Vine Vale.
The Cellar Door at Rusden, known as "The Den," offers a relaxed and inviting space to taste their range of estate-grown wines. Overlooking the winery and the Barossa Ranges, the setting provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy new releases or aged museum wines. The space features artwork by Amy Loechel, and tastings are seated to encourage an unhurried and immersive experience.
In addition to tastings, The Den is home to a historic wood-fired oven, which plays a central role in private dinners and events hosted at the winery. Visitors can explore the wines in a comfortable, rustic setting that reflects the estate’s long-standing commitment to winemaking and hospitality.

Bookings are recommended for all tastings, with seated tastings ensuring a personalised experience. Guests can explore both current and museum release wines, with private functions and special dinners also available by prior arrangement. While walk-ins are welcome when space allows, reservations are encouraged to secure a tasting session. The winery does not accept bookings for licensed buses or limousines.
