Mt Bera Vineyards is a certified organic estate in the Adelaide Hills, producing a diverse range of small-batch, single-vineyard wines. Found in the northern hills near Gumeracha, the estate’s cool-climate conditions provide the ideal environment for growing elegant Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Merlot, alongside distinctive European varietals like Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Mencía, Vermentino, and Grüner Veltliner.
Once a historic orchard established in 1851, Mt Bera has evolved under the stewardship of the Horner family into a biodynamic and sustainable vineyard, ensuring each wine expresses the purity of its terroir. The combination of varied topography, unique soil profiles, and meticulous organic practices results in wines that balance vibrancy, depth, and structure, showcasing the best of the region.
The Mt Bera Cellar Door offers a welcoming space for wine tastings and relaxed dining in a picturesque hillside setting. Guests can choose between a tasting experience featuring six estate-grown wines or an extended premium selection of up to twelve wines. With its peaceful atmosphere, visitors can also unwind with a glass or bottle of wine, paired with shared platters and small plates crafted from local ingredients.
The estate’s Balcony Restaurant presents a refined à la carte menu, curated by Chef Manuel Prieto to complement Mt Bera’s wines. Overlooking heritage gardens and rolling vineyard landscapes, the restaurant invites guests to savour a seasonal dining experience that highlights fresh, local produce and thoughtful wine pairings.
