Since 1999, Mayfield Vineyard has been a boutique winery in the renowned Orange wine region. Under the ownership of the Eastham Family and viticulturist Charles Simons, the vineyard has committed itself to producing the region's finest wines.
Winemaker Drew Tuckwell crafts a variety of cool climate wines, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. The winery's dedication to minimal intervention and sustainable practices results in wines that elegantly express the unique character of the historic property and the Orange region.
Mayfield's cellar door, nestled amidst picturesque vineyards and lakes, offers guests the opportunity to sample their award-winning wines. The tasting room, housed in an old School House on Icely Road, is open Thursday through Sunday. Here, visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of wines, including Riesling, Rosé, and Sparkling White.
The experience is complemented by stunning views, making it an ideal spot to explore the Eastern Heritage Trail of Orange. The vineyard, planted in 1998, benefits from the high elevation, rich loam, and basalt soils of the region, contributing to the distinct qualities of Mayfield's wines.
