Main & Cherry is a boutique winery rooted in the traditions of family, community, and a hands-on approach to winemaking. Located at the edge of the McLaren Vale wine region, the winery produces small-batch wines crafted by award-winning winemaker Michael Sexton. Using sustainable farming methods, including Indian Runner ducks in place of pesticides, Michael prioritises minimal intervention to allow the natural qualities of the fruit to shine through.
The winery sources grapes from its own vineyard above Clarendon as well as from independent growers in McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. This diversity of sites and soils enables the creation of a range of wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Focused on Mediterranean varieties like Fiano, Grenache, and Shiraz, Main & Cherry's wines are designed to pair seamlessly with the local cuisine and the relaxed lifestyle of the area.
The Main & Cherry Cellar Door is a modern, architecturally designed space offering sweeping views of the vines, native gumtrees, and Gulf St Vincent. Opened in 2022, the space provides a welcoming atmosphere for casual tastings or more structured wine flights. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of Mediterranean-style wines alongside shared platters, tapas, and local beers, with seating available on a spacious undercover deck or the expansive lawns.

Bookings are recommended for all tasting experiences to ensure availability and a seamless visit, especially for larger groups. For groups of 12 or more, the Chef’s selection sharing menu is required for adults, with a kid’s platter option for children.
