Horner Wines is a boutique winery located on Palmers Lane in Pokolbin, producing small-batch, handcrafted wines made from premium fruit across New South Wales. Founded by husband-and-wife team Ash and Lauren Horner, the winery brings a refreshingly down-to-earth approach to winemaking—putting passion, quality, and authenticity at the centre of everything they do. Ash, a seasoned winemaker with experience at top producers like Penfolds and Mount Pleasant, creates wines that are expressive, approachable, and full of character.
The Horner portfolio includes both organic and non-organic wines across a diverse range of varietals, from classic Shiraz and Chardonnay to more adventurous selections like Picpoul, Fumé Blanc, and Pineau. Visitors can enjoy wines from their three distinct ranges, all vinified within arm’s reach of the Cellar Door. This is a winery built on grit and heart, with every bottle reflecting the Horner family's genuine love for the land and the people who drink their wine.
The Horner Wines Cellar Door offers a relaxed, intimate setting with vineyard views and a hands-on feel. Located beside the working winery, guests can often meet Ash and Lauren themselves and enjoy tastings surrounded by barrels and the hum of winemaking in action. The space is pet-friendly, family-run, and designed to make everyone feel like part of the story—no wine-snobbery, just great wine and good company.
Guests can choose from a Discovery or Premium tasting experience, each featuring a curated lineup of small-batch wines. Tastings are held indoors at the wine bar and can be paired with a cheese board, making it the perfect spot for a casual yet informative experience in the Hunter Valley.
