Hahndorf Hill Winery is a pioneer of Austrian grape varieties in the Adelaide Hills, specialising in Grüner Veltliner, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent. Located just outside the historic German-heritage town of Hahndorf, the vineyard benefits from the region’s cool-climate conditions and mineral-rich soils, producing wines with depth, structure, and distinctive elegance.
Alongside their Austrian-inspired wines, Hahndorf Hill also produces a Vienna-style white field blend, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, and a dry Rosé. Recognised internationally for their expertise, they have become Australia’s leading producer of Grüner Veltliner, crafting multiple styles that showcase the variety’s versatility and potential in the Adelaide Hills.
Hahndorf Hill offers a unique seated tasting experience where visitors can enjoy curated wine flights, cheese pairings, and their signature ChocoVino experience—an indulgent pairing of fine wine and premium chocolate. The modern cellar door is set within the vineyard, providing beautiful views of rolling vines and the surrounding hills.
Guests can choose from a range of guided tastings, including traditional varietal flights or more immersive experiences exploring Austrian varieties. The cellar door has won numerous tourism awards and features artwork by local artist Stephen Trebilcock, making each visit a visually and sensory-rich experience.

Groups of 9 or more must book through the Group Experience Program, with tailored tasting options available.
