Elan Vineyard is a small, family-run winery on the Mornington Peninsula, producing handcrafted wines from estate-grown fruit. Established in the early 1980s on a north-easterly slope in Balnarring, this 2.5-hectare vineyard sits 110 metres above sea level, benefiting from cooling breezes and natural tree-line protection. The vineyard is dry-farmed and low-yielding, with a focus on minimal intervention winemaking to allow the fruit to express the character of its site.
With a philosophy of crafting premium wines with flair, Elan Vineyard produces both classic and lesser-known varieties, including Shiraz, Cabernet Merlot, Gamay, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a traditional méthode champenoise sparkling Blanc de Blanc. Wild yeast fermentation and careful vineyard management ensure each wine tells the story of the land and vintage.
