Scorpo Wines brings together old-world winemaking traditions with new-world expression, producing wines that reflect the distinct terroir of the Mornington Peninsula. Established in 1996, the vineyard in Merricks North was chosen for its ideal cool climate, well-draining volcanic soils, and natural elevation. The Scorpo family cultivates Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Grigio, Rosé, and Shiraz, drawing inspiration from Burgundy, Alsace, and Côte-Rôtie.
Every step of the winemaking process is carefully managed, with a focus on minimal intervention and sustainable viticulture. Grapes are hand-picked, wild yeast fermented, and matured in a combination of concrete, stainless steel, and French oak barrels to achieve complexity and balance. The wines reflect both site and season, offering depth and character that showcase the strengths of the region.
The Scorpo Wines tasting room offers a unique and personal cellar door experience, located within the vineyard and overlooking the rolling hills of Merricks North. Set among rows of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris vines, the cellar door provides an intimate setting for guests to explore the full range of estate-grown wines.
