Established in 1994, Vinifera Wines is a treasured gem of Mudgee wine region. A family endeavour helmed by Tony & Debbie McKendry and their daughter Samantha, the winery is renowned for its certified organic wines.
Driven by a philosophy of minimal intervention, Vinifera is committed to producing terroir-driven wines that are authentic representations of their beautiful vineyard and the broader Mudgee region. The unique Spanish varietals on offer, including the vibrant Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, sit alongside classic Australian styles like Sparkling White, Chardonnay, and Semillon, but with a unique Spanish twist.
When you visit the Vinifera tasting room on Henry Lawson Drive, expect to be transported into an atmosphere of tranquillity and pure vinous joy. Here, amidst the grapevines and the rolling Mudgee hills, you can taste their full range of wines and experience first-hand the result of their commitment to organic winemaking. Visitors can enjoy the view of the vineyard, the resident flock of sheep, and relax with a cheese plate or vignerons platter, full of fresh local produce, after their tasting.

Choose from three distinct experiences at Vinifera. The Classic Tasting Experience offers five classic wines for $10 per person. Upgrade to the Premium Tasting for $15 per person and savour five superior wines. Alternatively, the Sunday-exclusive High Cheese experience pairs an assortment of cheeses and local produce with your chosen wine for $35 per person (minimum two people).
