Established in 1994, Vinifera Wines is a family-owned winery located in the Mudgee wine region, known for its certified organic wines. Owned and operated by Tony and Debbie McKendry, alongside their daughter Samantha, the winery is dedicated to minimal intervention practices that emphasize the natural qualities of their vineyard and the broader Mudgee terroir. Vinifera's portfolio includes Spanish-inspired varietals such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, alongside classic styles like Sparkling White, Chardonnay, and Semillon, each crafted with a unique twist.
Vinifera's tasting room on Henry Lawson Drive offers a welcoming space for guests to explore their range of organic wines while enjoying views of the vineyard and surrounding hills. The relaxed atmosphere is complemented by the opportunity to pair tastings with a cheese plate or a vigneron’s platter featuring fresh local produce. The outdoor tasting area provides a tranquil setting where visitors can take in the picturesque scenery, including the resident flock of sheep grazing among the vines, making it an ideal location to enjoy the Mudgee outdoor wine tasting experience.

Guests can choose from a variety of options, including the Classic Tasting Experience, featuring five wines, or the Premium Tasting, which offers an upgraded selection. For a more indulgent experience, the Sunday-exclusive High Cheese pairs a curated cheese and local produce platter with selected wines. Group bookings are welcomed, with tailored experiences available to accommodate larger parties, providing a memorable visit for all guests.
