Thompson Estate is a highly regarded winery in Margaret River, with a strong focus on producing premium wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Wilyabrup sub-region. Established in 1994 by Jane and Peter Thompson, the estate has grown to 20 hectares under vine, with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon as standout varietals.
Located next door to Margaret River’s first vineyard, Vasse Felix, the estate benefits from ideal maritime influences, ensuring slow ripening and the development of intense flavours. The wines have received numerous accolades, including recognition as a James Halliday Five Red Star winery, placing Thompson Estate among the top Australian wine producers.
The Thompson Estate Cellar Door offers a welcoming and relaxed setting inside its barrel room, where visitors can enjoy a guided tasting of the winery’s award-winning wines.
