Slowfox Wines is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Mudgee. Steeped in the tradition of hand-picking and hand-making wines, Slowfox believes in crafting small batches of wine from the best fruit harvested each year. The vineyard spans about 7 hectares, with a mix of trellised and bush vines, all meticulously tended to yield a bounty of rich, flavourful grapes.
Slowfox is renowned for its award-winning Malbec, along with other carefully crafted wines including Chardonnay, Viognier, and a uniquely Australian style Rosé. Their wines are made with minimal intervention, allowing the natural goodness of the fruit to shine through. The winemakers at Slowfox are committed to creating wines that are best enjoyed in good company, accompanied by food and hearty conversation.
Visitors to Slowfox are invited to taste the winery's full range of wines at their Black Springs Road tasting room. The Cellar Door, with its eclectic style, is open every weekend and offers a relaxed setting right next to the vineyards. The winery is family-friendly with a children's play area, and pets are also welcomed.
Slowfox hosts outdoor tastings, special food offerings during long weekends, and participation in the annual September Mudgee Wine Festival. Slowfox also hosts various events throughout the year in Mudgee and Sydney, keeping its community of wine lovers engaged and connected.
