Tilbrook Estate is a family-owned winery in Adelaide Hills, founded in 1999 by James and Annabelle Tilbrook. Situated in Lenswood, one of Australia’s coolest wine regions, the estate follows a hands-on approach to winemaking with the philosophy of “Hand made by our hands.” Every step, from growing the grapes to bottling the wine, is managed on-site, ensuring a truly artisanal experience.
Tilbrook Estate’s vineyard is close-planted with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity. The wines reflect the estate’s commitment to environmental harmony, with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris forming the core of their range. Following the devastating 2019 bushfire, the winery has been rebuilt with an eco-friendly cellar door powered by renewable energy, marking a new chapter in their story.
Tilbrook Estate’s eco-friendly cellar door offers a unique tasting experience with sweeping views over the Onkaparinga Valley. The space, designed with sustainability in mind, is a blend of modern design and environmental consciousness, providing a cosy indoor setting for cooler months and an inviting outdoor area for warmer days.
Guests can enjoy guided seated tastings featuring the estate’s wines alongside their “Hope!” range, which supports the vineyard’s recovery efforts. For a more relaxed visit, seasonal platters and freshly made wood-fired pizzas are available, embracing a slow-food ethos with locally sourced organic produce.

Bookings are highly recommended for all tastings and meals, particularly for groups of nine or more, which require a set menu. Wine tastings are guided experiences featuring five wines, with options to upgrade to reserve selections. Lunch and Friday night dinner reservations are also available, offering a seasonal menu inspired by locally sourced ingredients.
