Howard Vineyard is a second-generation family-owned winery in the Adelaide Hills, known for its premium cool-climate wines. With two distinct vineyard sites—Mount Barker and Charleston—the estate produces an impressive range of varietals, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc. The winemaking philosophy embraces sustainability and minimal intervention, ensuring wines that authentically express the land.
Winemaker Tom Northcott crafts wines that are light to medium-bodied, showcasing vibrant fruit flavours with balanced natural acidity. The estate offers two wine labels: the Howard Vineyard range, featuring fresh, drink-now styles, and the premium Amos range, which highlights the best parcels of fruit from each vintage. A commitment to sustainable viticulture and meticulous vineyard management results in wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Adelaide Hills.
The Howard Vineyard Cellar Door offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, set among rolling vineyards, gardens, and expansive lawns. Located just 25 minutes from Adelaide, it provides a peaceful escape where guests can enjoy guided wine tastings led by the knowledgeable team. Visitors can choose from a selection of curated tasting experiences, including the Heroes of the Hills tasting, which showcases the estate’s approachable wines, or the Amos Experience, a more in-depth exploration of their flagship range.
Beyond wine, guests can enjoy a meal at the estate’s Clover + Stone Restaurant, where the menu highlights fresh local produce designed to complement the wines. Whether seated indoors or relaxing on the lawns, the setting encourages visitors to slow down and enjoy the best of the Adelaide Hills.
