Heifer Station, a boutique winery in the Orange region, has been crafting exceptional wines since 1999. Located on the historic volcanic basalt slopes of Mt. Canobolas, the vineyard spans 65 acres of red loam over limestone. Winemakers Daniel Shaw and Nadja Wallington produce an array of wines including Sparkling White, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. Their approach combines respect for the earth with high-altitude viticulture, resulting in elegant single vineyard wines that express the unique terroir of Orange.
Phillip and Michelle Stivens, who took over Heifer Station in 2009, transformed the once neglected vineyard into a producer of premium cool climate wines. The vineyard's unique location, with undulating hills and an elevation of 900 metres, is ideal for growing varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz. Since their first vintage in 2012, Heifer Station has garnered accolades including double gold at the Royal Easter Show and Trophies at the Orange Wine Show, confirming the quality and appeal of their wines.
