Borrodell Vineyard, a celebrated presence in the Orange wine region, is one of Australia’s highest vineyards, situated at over 1030 metres above sea level. Established in 1964 and transformed in the 1990s by Borry and Gaye, the vineyard produces cool climate wines that reflect the region's volcanic basalt soils and unique terroir. Highlights of the portfolio include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, alongside specialty varietals like Gewürztraminer and Pinot Meunier. Borrodell also features the oldest Black Perigord truffle trees on mainland Australia, further enhancing its agricultural significance.
The SkyBar at Borrodell Vineyard merges the concepts of a wine bar and cellar door, offering guests a relaxed setting to explore the full range of wines. Guests can choose to sip indoors, on the terrace, or on the lawn, all while taking in the vineyard’s breathtaking panoramic views. Nearby, Sister’s Rock Restaurant provides a culinary journey with organic, locally sourced dishes that complement Borrodell’s wines. Together, the SkyBar and Sister’s Rock create a harmonious experience, combining the region’s finest wine and cuisine with its natural beauty and tranquility.
