Boomer Creek is a boutique vineyard and working farm located along Tasmania’s scenic Great Eastern Drive in Little Swanport. This third-generation family estate, operated by the Walters family, combines premium cool-climate viticulture with sustainable farming practices. The vineyard is planted on Jurassic dolerite and deep red clay loam soils, which contribute to the unique character of the wines.
Producing single-site wines from estate-grown fruit, Boomer Creek offers a diverse selection including Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. With a hands-on approach to viticulture, all vines are hand-pruned and picked, with natural pest control methods employed to maintain a clean, sustainable vineyard. The proximity to the ocean provides cooling breezes that enhance the freshness and structure of the wines.
The Boomer Creek cellar door offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, where guests can enjoy tastings of the estate’s cool-climate wines while overlooking the stunning coastal views of Schouten Island and the Little Swanport estuary. The tasting room provides an immersive experience, showcasing wines that truly reflect the terroir of this unique location.

Boomer Creek’s cellar door is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11am – 5pm, with tastings available throughout the day. No bookings are required for smaller groups, and guests are welcome to drop in for a tasting or to enjoy a glass of wine with a grazing platter. Larger groups and RVs can also be accommodated with prior arrangement. Wine lovers can explore a selection of sparkling, white, and red wines, all produced from estate-grown fruit, ensuring a true taste of Tasmania’s east coast.
