Andrew Peace Wines, a family-owned winery for over 40 years, has its roots deeply embedded in the Murray River bank soil. Established in the 1960s, the vineyard produced its first vintage in 1995 and has since grown to become one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries. With a humble beginning and a grape intake of 1711 tonnes, the winery now crushes over 43,000 tonnes per year. Their contemporary winery, driven by sound business acumen and first-class technology, has been consistently among the top 20 Australian exporters, sharing their award-winning wines globally.
The terroir of Andrew Peace Wines, shaped by the geology, soil, and climate of Australia's Murray River system, is central to the uniqueness of their wines. The semi-arid climate, more than 400km inland, features hot summers and cold to mild winters, resembling a continental climate similar to Burgundy. The nutritious sandy and clay earth, akin to those found in Champagne and Burgundy, is ideal for both red and white wines. This combination of elements contributes to the distinctive flavors and qualities of their wines.
