Six Acres Wines is a family-run vineyard located in Silvan, at the southern edge of the Yarra Valley. Established in 1999 by Ralph and Lesley Zuccaro, the vineyard sits 250 metres above sea level and benefits from a cool climate and deep red volcanic soil. With a focus on sustainability, Six Acres follows organic growing practices, avoids synthetic sprays, and encourages healthy soils through composting and permanent ground cover.
Producing small-batch wines from their dry-grown vineyard, Six Acres focuses on Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Fiano. The winemaking is hands-on and family-led, resulting in wines that reflect both the distinct Silvan terroir and the care taken at every step—from vine to bottle. All wines are vegan, with a focus on texture, balance, and character.
Six Acres offers tastings by appointment at their intimate Cellar Door, which is set on the family’s picturesque vineyard in Silvan. With views across the rolling Yarra Valley landscape, the setting provides a relaxed and personal experience guided by the winemaker or a member of the family. Tastings are focused on showcasing the estate’s small, thoughtful selection of wines in a quiet, boutique environment.
