Punch Vineyards, located in the Yarra Valley, represents the dedication and legacy of James and Claire Lance. Established in 1976 by James's father, David Lance, the vineyard has long been a cornerstone of Pinot Noir cultivation in the region. Since 2005, Punch has focused on producing wines that reflect the character of their site, with a commitment to organic and holistic vineyard management. This approach, paired with minimal intervention winemaking, ensures that each wine embodies the distinct qualities of the vineyard and its surrounding terroir.

Punch's history includes resilience and adaptability, notably demonstrated in their recovery after the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009. The Friends of Punch label was introduced as a tribute to the support of fellow grape growers, featuring small parcels of exceptional fruit from allied vineyards. The vineyard’s portfolio includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and more, showcasing a thoughtful balance of tradition and collaboration within the wine community.
