Continuing the legacy of James's father, David Lance, a pioneer in Pinot Noir cultivation in the region, Punch has been producing distinguished wines since 2005. The vineyard, established in 1976 on a unique site chosen for its challenging yet promising terroir, is managed with a commitment to organic and holistic practices. The resilience of Punch is exemplified by their recovery from the devastating Black Saturday bushfires of 2009. In the spirit of community and gratitude, the Friends of Punch label was created to honour the support received from fellow grape growers. This initiative not only symbolises the vineyard's perseverance but also its deep-rooted connections within the wine community, showcasing small parcels of exceptional fruit from allied vineyards alongside their estate-grown offerings. The Punch Wine Room, located in the heart of St Andrews, offers a welcoming space for wine enthusiasts to explore the vineyard's offerings. Open on Saturdays for tastings and sales, the Wine Room invites guests to pair their wine experiences with delicious food from neighboring establishments.
