Established in 2011 on the site of a former cherry orchard, Mewstone has evolved into a boutique vineyard with a keen focus on producing expressive, single-site wines with minimal intervention. Spanning 5.2 hectares, the vineyard is predominantly planted with Pinot Noir, alongside smaller plots of Chardonnay and Riesling. Winemaker Jonathan Hughes brings a wealth of international experience to the venture, crafting wines under both the Mewstone and Hughes & Hughes labels, the latter allowing for more experimental winemaking practices and the production of unique, low-intervention wines.
