A boutique vineyard and cellar door just north of Mudgee, McIntosh Estate is home to 55-year-old vines and medal-winning wines. Owners Curt and Janet have restored the vineyard with a hands-on approach, growing their own fruit and working with experienced local winemakers to craft a focused range of wines—from Blanc de Blancs and Vermentino to Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, and Chardonnay.
Tastings take place in a rustic tin shed with wide glass doors and views over the vineyard and surrounding hills. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space with a fireplace in winter, air conditioning in summer, and plenty of space to sit back with a glass of wine. Small cheese plates and estate-grown honey are also available.
Located five minutes from Mudgee, the estate is dog friendly, and tastings are hosted by Curt and Janet themselves—offering a genuine meet-the-maker experience that highlights the story behind each vintage.
