Hobbs of Barossa is a boutique winery located in the Barossa Valley, producing premium Shiraz from the high-altitude Barossa Ranges. Since 1995, Greg and Allison Hobbs have nurtured their historic vineyard with sustainable and organic practices, hand-pruning and hand-picking their fruit to ensure the highest quality. The vineyard’s cooler climate and unique soil composition contribute to a longer ripening period, allowing the grapes to develop intense flavours and complexity.
Working closely with renowned winemakers, Hobbs of Barossa has established a reputation for bold, expressive wines that capture the character of their distinctive site. The range includes single-vineyard Shiraz, innovative blends, and a selection of small-batch releases that reflect the family’s dedication to their craft.
The Hobbs cellar door offers an exclusive, private tasting experience overlooking century-old vines in the rugged Barossa Ranges. Guided by Greg and Allison themselves, guests are invited to sample the range of premium wines in an intimate setting that reflects the family’s hands-on approach to winemaking.
In addition to their vineyard tastings, Hobbs of Barossa wines can also be experienced at Artisans of Barossa, a collective of small producers committed to showcasing the region’s best small-batch wines. Visitors can explore the wines in a dedicated tasting room or pair them with seasonal local cuisine at the Essen restaurant.
