Chateau Dorrien is a family-owned winery in the Barossa Valley, established in 1985 by the Martin family. With a focus on quality and consistency, the winery continues a long-standing tradition of winemaking that spans generations. The estate is known for its handcrafted red and white wines, as well as unique meads made from recipes passed down for over four generations. Chateau Dorrien sources fruit from its vineyards, including century-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines, ensuring depth and character in every bottle.
Production takes place at Twin Valley Estate, a facility acquired by the Martin family in 1990 to expand operations while maintaining their boutique, hands-on approach. Today, winemaker Ray Martin continues his father Fernando’s legacy, crafting wines and honey liqueurs that reflect both tradition and the family’s passion for the region.
The Cellar Door at Chateau Dorrien offers a relaxed and informal setting for wine tastings. Guests can sample a variety of wines, including reds, whites, and the winery’s unique honey liqueurs. The experience also includes access to the heritage gallery, showcasing the history of the estate and its winemaking traditions.
