Located in Margaret River, Amato Vino is an artisan winery specialising in small-batch, minimal-intervention wines. The philosophy is ‘lo-fi’, embracing wild ferments, minimal additions, and traditional winemaking techniques to create wines with purity and character. With a focus on both classic regional varieties and eclectic Mediterranean influences, the range includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Teroldego, Nero d’Avola, and Savagnin, among others.
Established in 2003 by winemaker Brad Wehr, Amato Vino works with sustainably farmed vineyards and independent growers who share the same ethos. The wines are made with a light touch, employing gentle handling and unconventional vessels for fermentation and maturation. The result is a collection of expressive, textural wines that offer both depth and drinkability.
The Amato Vino Tasting Bar offers a relaxed and intimate wine experience in the heritage-listed Darnell’s Trader building in Witchcliffe, just a short drive from Margaret River.
