Winter Brook Vineyard is a boutique winery in Tasmania's Tamar Valley, producing limited-release cool-climate wines with a hands-on approach. Located just 30 minutes from Launceston, the vineyard crafts a diverse selection of wines, including sparkling, white, and red varieties. At Winter Brook, the focus is on traditional winemaking methods combined with a creative approach. The estate-grown fruit is carefully handled to bring out the unique characteristics of the vineyard, resulting in wines that are expressive and elegant. Whether it’s a crisp Riesling, a refined Pinot Noir, or a complex Fumé Blanc, Winter Brook Vineyard offers something for every palate.
The cellar door at Winter Brook Vineyard has been thoughtfully designed to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy tastings in a cosy lounge area by the fireplace, on the covered outdoor deck with heating, or outside among the vines with scenic views. Tastings include a selection of 6-8 wines, allowing visitors to explore the vineyard’s diverse range.
To complement the wines, the cellar door also offers a "pick your own platter" experience, featuring a curated selection of Tasmanian cheeses, cured meats, and accompaniments. Guests can customise their platter and enjoy it with a glass or bottle of wine while taking in the picturesque surroundings.

Bookings are recommended for all tastings, especially for larger groups. The winery can accommodate small groups indoors, with additional outdoor space available for larger bookings. To ensure availability and the best possible experience, guests are encouraged to arrange their visit in advance. Visitors should follow the main highway and turn onto Hjorts Road, as alternative routes may not provide access to the property.
