Schubert Estate is a boutique winery in the Barossa Valley, producing estate-grown wines from the Marananga sub-region. The winery’s vineyards are situated along Roennfeldt and Neldner Roads, an area known for producing bold, structured reds with deep colour and intense flavour. The estate specialises in Shiraz, alongside plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro, Grenache, and Viognier. Each wine carries the distinct character of the estate’s vineyard blocks, shaped by variations in soil, elevation, and topography.
Committed to sustainable viticulture, Schubert Estate follows a ‘ground up wine growing’ philosophy, ensuring that every wine reflects its natural environment. With minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery, the focus is on crafting ‘First Growth’ wines that honour the Barossa’s heritage while embracing innovation. The estate’s winemaker, Matt Reynolds, brings over 20 years of experience to the craft, ensuring each wine remains a true expression of the site.
The Schubert Estate Wine Room offers a relaxed and inviting space for tastings, where guests can explore the full range of estate-grown wines. Set among the vineyards in Marananga, the Wine Room provides both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing visitors to take in the views of the surrounding Barossa landscape. Tastings include a guided experience through the winery’s portfolio, highlighting the unique qualities of each wine.
In addition to wine tastings, guests can enjoy gourmet platters featuring local Barossa produce, making for a leisurely and immersive experience. Whether seated in the Wine Room, on the deck, or in the courtyard, visitors can take their time to appreciate the wines alongside the estate’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
