Greenock Creek Wines is known for producing deeply coloured, structured red wines from single-vineyard sites across Barossa Valley. Established in 1984, the winery focuses on capturing the distinct characteristics of its vineyards in Seppeltsfield, Marananga, and Moppa. Each site contributes to the winery’s signature style, from the plush and silky wines of Marananga to the earthier, more structured expressions of Seppeltsfield and the aromatic, spice-driven character of Moppa.
Greenock Creek follows traditional winemaking techniques, with grapes handpicked and fermented in small batches before being basket-pressed into carefully selected oak barrels. This hands-on approach, combined with attention to vineyard health and sustainable practices, ensures the wines maintain their intensity, complexity, and longevity.
Located in Marananga along Seppeltsfield Road, the Greenock Creek wine room offers an intimate and personalised tasting experience. Guests can sample a selection of current release wines, each showcasing the distinct characteristics of the winery’s single-vineyard approach. The setting is relaxed, allowing visitors to explore the depth and complexity of these wines while learning about the vineyard sites that shape their flavour profiles.
With limited production and a focus on site-specific expressions, tastings at Greenock Creek provide a deeper understanding of how soil, climate, and vineyard management influence the final wine. The small and welcoming space ensures each guest receives a personalised experience guided by knowledgeable staff.
