Pindarie Wines sits atop the Barossa Valley’s Western Ridge, surrounded by rolling hills, farmland, and estate vineyards. This family-owned property has been transformed by Tony Brooks and Wendy Allan, who have focused on sustainable farming and viticulture, planting thousands of trees and restoring historic buildings along the way. Their vineyard produces a mix of Barossa classics, including Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside Mediterranean varietals like Tempranillo, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano.
Their cellar door is housed in a beautifully restored 1860s stable, offering a unique setting to experience their wines. Guests can also enjoy a genuine paddock-to-plate experience in the Grain Room café, with seasonal local produce complementing the wines. A visit to Pindarie provides an insight into the region’s agricultural heritage, with the added bonus of panoramic views across the Barossa landscape.
Pindarie’s cellar door experience is all about warm hospitality, stunning views, and estate-grown wines. Visitors can explore the Pindarie Estate Range, which features everything from crisp Sangiovese Rosé to bold Barossa Shiraz, or take a deeper dive into the Black Hinge Reserve wines, which showcase the estate’s best vintages. Tastings take place in the heritage-listed stables, where knowledgeable staff guide guests through the winemaking story.
For those wanting a more immersive experience, the Walk, Taste & Graze tour takes guests on a guided vineyard walk to Schoff’s Hill, followed by a tasting and a leisurely seasonal lunch. This experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with the land and learn about sustainable viticulture in the Barossa.
