Penny’s Hill, established in 1988, is located in McLaren Vale, one of South Australia’s most celebrated wine regions. The estate includes three distinct vineyard sites—Penny’s Hill, Malpas Road, and Goss Corner—each contributing unique characteristics to the winery’s small-batch wines. Known for its Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache, Penny’s Hill also produces aromatic white wines from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills.
Committed to sustainability, Penny’s Hill is a proud member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. The winery’s focus on precise vineyard management and small-batch winemaking ensures that each wine reflects the nuances of its terroir. With vines planted on diverse soil types, including black Bay of Biscay clay and sandy loam, Penny’s Hill produces wines of complexity, texture, and balance.
The Penny’s Hill Cellar Door is currently closed for significant renovations. Once reopened, it will provide a welcoming space for visitors to explore the winery’s acclaimed range of wines and learn more about its sustainable practices and small-batch winemaking philosophy. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy tastings in a setting that reflects the character and charm of the estate’s vineyards and historical surroundings.
