Located in the picturesque Hunter Valley, Hanging Tree Wines has been producing premium quality wines since 2003. With over a decade of experience, the winemakers at Hanging Tree, Liz Jackson, Gary McLean and Gary Read, have honed their skills and developed a reputation for producing classic Australian style wines.
The winery is well known for its Semillon and Shiraz, however, their sparkling and fortified wines have also gained popularity and are enjoyed by both their members and new visitors. The team at Hanging Tree takes great pride in their winemaking process, ensuring that each bottle of wine is of the highest quality.
Nestled in the heart of Hunter Valley, Hanging Tree Wines stands out as a unique winery experience. The old cow-shed that houses the cellar door tasting room is brimming with character and charm, setting the stage for an unforgettable visit. Visitors can indulge in a wide range of Hanging Tree's wines, from sparkling and white to red, sweet, and fortified, all handpicked from the 40-acre estate.
In addition to the tasting room, Hanging Tree Wines offers an array of activities that set it apart from other wineries. Guests can explore the property and discover the Blacksmith's Cottage, Horse-Whispering lodge, duck pond, and French parterre-designed rose garden. For those who enjoy outdoor games, there's a giant chessboard, and three friendly Labradors, Vodka, Muscat & Bundy, ready to play. Visitors can also sample Hanging Tree's olive oils, tapenades, and olives crafted from over 300 olive trees.
