Garden & Field is a boutique winery in Barossa Valley, situated along the historic Gnadenberg Road in Eden Valley. Established by Mel and Pete Raymond, the winery is built on a passion for viticulture and a commitment to growing exceptional Shiraz. Their estate vineyard, set among rolling hills and ancient gums, produces wines that reflect both the land and the dedication of its custodians.
Their vineyard was established in 2008 on a site with deep historical significance, with vines now surrounding a restored 1854 stone cottage. The approach to winemaking is hands-on, with Pete's expertise in vineyard management playing a key role in crafting the wines. Each vintage captures the unique character of the high country of Eden Valley, producing wines of depth and regional expression.
Wine tastings at Garden & Field take place in a historic wine shed, once used for wheat and wool storage in the late 1880s. Now transformed into a welcoming tasting room, this space offers visitors a step back in time while enjoying estate-grown wines. The setting is intimate and rustic, with tastings providing insight into both the vineyard’s history and the winemaking philosophy.
All tastings are by appointment, ensuring a personalised experience. Visitors have the opportunity to explore a curated selection of wines, with direct-to-door delivery available for those looking to take their favourites home.
