Eperosa is a boutique winery in the Barossa Valley, known for its commitment to organic, regenerative, and off-grid winemaking. Established by sixth-generation Barossan Brett Grocke, Eperosa's wines are crafted with a deep respect for the land, focusing on old-vine Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, and Semillon from estate vineyards in Vine Vale and Krondorf. These vineyards benefit from unique microclimates, cooling gully winds, and distinct soil profiles, producing wines of depth, structure, and elegance.
All fruit is hand-harvested and sorted before undergoing traditional, small-batch winemaking techniques, including foot stomping, extended skin contact, and basket pressing. Maturation takes place in French oak, with minimal intervention to allow the purity of the vineyard to shine through. Eperosa’s underground, off-grid winery and cellar door reflect its eco-friendly ethos, harnessing solar power, rainwater collection, and gravity-fed processes to create wines with a focus on sustainability and authenticity.
The Eperosa Cellar Door offers a truly immersive tasting experience, set within the winery’s off-grid, underground space. Guests are invited to explore the range of hand-crafted wines while taking in the surrounding vineyard landscape. The intimate setting ensures a personalised experience, where visitors can learn about Eperosa’s organic farming practices and traditional winemaking techniques directly from the winemaking team.
