Atze’s Corner is a family-owned winery in the Barossa Valley, built on six generations of grape-growing heritage. Founded in 2005 by Andy Kalleske, the winery focuses on crafting wines from old and estate-grown vines, including Shiraz, Grenache, and Mataro. The vineyards, some planted as early as 1912, are located in the premium sub-regions of Ebenezer and Koonunga, known for their deep red soils and ideal growing conditions. Sustainability is a core value, with a tree planted for every bottle sold.
Atze’s Corner produces small-batch wines that showcase the diversity of the region. The range includes single-vineyard releases, traditional Barossa varietals, and Mediterranean-inspired wines such as Vermentino and Montepulciano. Winemaking techniques include hand plunging and open fermentation, ensuring each wine reflects the vineyard’s character.
The Cellar Door at Atze’s Corner offers a relaxed and welcoming setting with panoramic views of the vineyards. Guests can enjoy guided tastings of the winery’s range, including limited-release wines not available to the public. The tasting space features an elevated balcony, providing a scenic backdrop for wine tastings.
Visitors can also pair their wines with locally sourced platters curated by the Kalleske family. The Cellar Door experience is designed to be personal and engaging, offering insights into the family’s winemaking history and the unique terroir of their old vines.
