Situated in the picturesque village of Broke, just a short drive from the main Hunter Valley wine area, Krinklewood is a certified biodynamic vineyard offering a unique wine experience. Established in 1981 by Rod Windrim, the winery produces a range of wines, including Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Semillon, that reflect the region’s terroir and a commitment to sustainable, innovative winemaking.
Krinklewood has been a pioneer in organic and biodynamic viticulture, distinguishing itself in the Hunter Valley. The vineyard’s tranquil setting, surrounded by the Brokenback Range and Wollombi Brook, enhances its focus on sustainability and French winemaking traditions.
The Cellar Door at Krinklewood offers a serene and immersive tasting experience in a French-inspired setting. Visitors can enjoy their tastings in the outdoor courtyard, surrounded by Provencal gardens, fountains, and a flock of roaming peacocks, creating a relaxed and memorable atmosphere.

While walk-in tastings are welcomed at Krinklewood, bookings are recommended to ensure availability, particularly given its location 25 minutes from central Hunter Valley. Tasting experiences include both standard and premium options, each lasting around 45 minutes. For a more relaxed visit, the 'Picnic on the Lawn' package, suitable for 2-4 people, is available. Larger groups are also accommodated with prior arrangement to check availability.
